We are excited to be working with a large household name insurance group with a reputation for service excellence and being an amazing place to work. They are looking to add to their team in Bristol with a Senior Technical Underwriter making you one of the most senior referral points within the regional underwriting team.
As a Senior Technical Underwriter you will:
- Manage the most complex and high value cases in the region ensuring that these cases are retained and exceptional service is given to customers.
- Support the wider team with technical training and updates to support the development of those less experienced colleagues in both formal structured training as well as at the desk day to day support.
- Have direct input into the strategic planning and development of team technical capabilities to ensure that the region are fully equipped to continue to grow and develop strong trading relationships.
- Meet with Brokers and Customers to explain complex underwriting solutions and deliver clear and concise updates to businesses.
- Utilise cross sell and upsell to deliver extensive and comprehensive coverage to a variety of businesses in an efficient and cost effective manner.
As a Senior Technical Underwriter you will have:
- A proven track record of managing a broad range of complex commercial underwriting cases and taking referrals from colleagues and customers to deliver innovative underwriting solutions.
- Experience of being lead underwriter on large and complex risks and bringing in other parts of the wider business to support renewal retention where required.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a solution focussed approach to underwriting.
- An ability to build and develop strong trading relationships across both internal and external customers.
As a Senior Technical Underwriter you will get:
- Annual Salary to 57,500 based on experience
- Annual bonus up to 17.50% based on performance
- Pension Scheme delivering up to 20% contribution
