We are working with a highly respected independent insurance broker in Kent who are looking to appoint an experienced Account Executive to manage and develop a portfolio of commercial clients. This role offers a strong balance of client management and growth, with excellent internal support and the opportunity to work with a wide range of SME and mid-market commercial risks.
The Role
As a Commercial Account Executive, you will take ownership of a portfolio of clients, acting as their primary point of contact and delivering tailored insurance solutions. You will work closely with account handling and broking teams to ensure high service levels while identifying opportunities to grow existing relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and retaining a portfolio of commercial clients
- Leading renewal strategy and client meetings
- Identifying and converting growth opportunities within existing accounts
- Working with internal broking teams to place and service risks
- Building strong long-term client and insurer relationships
- Ensuring all activity complies with FCA and internal standards
About You
- Proven experience as an Account Executive or Senior Account Handler
- Strong technical knowledge across commercial insurance products
- Confident leading client relationships and renewal discussions
- Commercially minded with strong relationship and negotiation skills
- Organised, proactive, and professional in approach
- Cert CII qualified or working towards
- Experience with Acturis or similar broking systems advantageous
