The Role
As an Account Handler / Manager, you will take responsibility for a portfolio of commercial clients, ensuring smooth renewals, mid-term adjustments, and excellent day-to-day service. You will work closely with Account Executives and the wider team to deliver outstanding client experiences while identifying opportunities for growth and cross-selling additional products. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of technical insurance work, relationship management, and business development.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a portfolio of commercial clients, providing advice and support
- Handle renewals, mid-term adjustments, and client queries efficiently
- Prepare policy documentation, submissions, and insurer communications
- Liaise with insurers to negotiate terms and ensure competitive coverage
- Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities across commercial insurance products
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and internal procedures
- Support Account Executives in delivering high-quality service to clients
About You
- Proven experience as a Commercial Account Handler / Manager
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and UK market risks
- Confident managing client relationships and providing technical advice
- ACII qualified or working towards (desirable, not essential)
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organisational skills, and attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently in an office or remotely while collaborating with a team
