We are recruiting for a Senior and experienced Commercial Property and Liability underwriter to look after the existing business and write new. The role is with a major UK and global insurer, with an ever-building team and strong proposition.
The role of a Senior Commercial Underwriter includes:
- Underwriting UK corporate and multinational business from a select broker distribution from their Birmingham operation.
- Underwriting Property and Liability covers, with perhaps more of a focus towards Property.
- Servicing the existing renewals and working with the Business Development team to develop new business opportunities.
- Helping with the coaching of more junior colleagues.
As a Senior Commercial Underwriter, you will have:
- A minimum of 5 years experience underwriting UK Commercial and/or Corporate business, regularly handling client premiums well over £50k.
- Experience or knowledge of multinational placements.
- Proven delivery of new business wins, with a can-do attitude to finding ways of writing good, profitable business.
