Role profile
We are delighted to be supporting a fantastic organisation in their search for a Financial Accountant. The organisation is looking for someone who is experienced in dealing with financial accounting and has experience using the system Sage50.
Job responsibilities:
- Ensuring the maintenance and documentation of comprehensive financial systems and processes to guarantee accuracy and adherence to financial regulations.
- Supporting the preparation and reporting of monthly and quarterly management accounts, including variance analysis and explanatory reports.
- Compiling audit files and handling daily inquiries from external auditors throughout the annual audit process.
- Managing and supervising the monthly payroll process, ensuring all payments are accurate and fully compliant with relevant tax laws, pension schemes, and employment regulations.
- Guaranteeing the timely and precise submission of payroll-related obligations, including PAYE, National Insurance, pension contributions, and any other statutory or voluntary deductions.
- Overseeing and assisting the Finance Assistant with daily bookkeeping activities, including managing accounts payable and receivable, as well as performing account reconciliations.
