An established, large independent brickwork contractor with a strong reputation across the UK is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join their growing team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a financially secure, well-respected business delivering high-quality brickwork packages across residential and commercial developments.
The Role
As Contracts Manager, you will take full responsibility for overseeing multiple brickwork projects, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. You will play a key role in setting performance targets, driving productivity, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, site teams, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage multiple brickwork contracts simultaneously
- Set, monitor, and achieve programme and productivity targets
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Maintain high standards of quality control and health & safety compliance
- Liaise with clients, site managers, commercial teams, and operatives
- Provide leadership, support, and direction to site teams
- Attend site meetings and produce progress reports
Requirements
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) – Essential
- Relevant brickwork qualifications (NVQ or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a Contracts Manager role within brickwork or masonry
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Commercial awareness and target-driven mindset
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office, project reporting systems, email)
- Full UK driving licence
Package
- £58,000 – £65,000 per annum (DOE)
