An established and well-respected brickwork contractor with a strong presence across the UK is seeking two experienced Brickwork Supervisors to join their growing team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for hands-on supervisors with strong trade knowledge to work on large residential and commercial developments, ensuring high-quality brickwork is delivered safely, on time, and to specification.

The Role

As a Brickwork Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations for brickwork packages, managing gangs of bricklayers and labourers, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to programme. This is a hands-on role, requiring strong practical brickwork experience alongside the ability to lead and coordinate site teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate brickwork teams on site
  • Ensure all work is carried out to specification, drawings, and programme requirements
  • Monitor productivity and maintain high standards of workmanship
  • Carry out quality control inspections on completed works
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and site procedures
  • Liaise with Site Managers, Contracts Managers, and other trades on site
  • Conduct daily briefings and toolbox talks where required
  • Manage materials, deliveries, and site organisation for brickwork operations
  • Identify and resolve on-site issues efficiently

Requirements

  • Proven hands-on bricklaying experience with supervisory responsibilities
  • SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) – Essential
  • Relevant brickwork qualification (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
  • Excellent understanding of health & safety on construction sites
  • Experience supervising brickwork gangs on residential or commercial projects
  • CSCS Card
  • Full UK driving licence

Package

  • £230 - £250 per day (depending on experience)
  • Company vehicle with fuel card
