Stridden Limited are recruiting on behalf of an established Grounds and Garden Maintenance Contractor, who are currently looking for 2 experienced Groundsmen to join their team.

Start Date: 1st Groundsman to start 5th May 2026, 2nd Groundsman to start 11th May 2026

Location: Market Harborough / Stoke Albany, LE16

Rate: £16.88 per hour

Hours: 6:45am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday

Paid Hours: 8 hours per day

Duration: 5 months

The Role: The successful candidates will be working as part of a busy team and will be responsible for safely operating a variety of equipment for grass cutting, hedge trimming and tree maintenance. The ideal candidates will have a proven track record within the agricultural, landscaping or grounds maintenance sectors. This role would suit someone who is experienced, reliable, safety-conscious and happy to muck in with the team across a variety of maintenance tasks.

Key Duties:

  • All aspects of grounds maintenance, including grass cutting, hedge trimming and tree maintenance
  • Working safely and efficiently as part of the site team
  • Supporting general site duties when required

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience within the maintenance and landscaping industry
  • Lantra PA1 and/or PA2 would be beneficial but is not essential
  • Enhanced DBS check would be beneficial
  • If you do not currently hold an Enhanced DBS check, one will need to be completed, which the client will organise and pay for
  • Full clean driving licence preferred
  • Maximum 6 points accepted. Anything over this means you will not be able to operate machinery or drive vehicles
  • Reliable and proactive attitude
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Ability to travel to the yard in Stoke Albany, LE16 for morning pick-up
  • Two references available on application
