Stridden Limited are recruiting for 2 reliable and professional Part-Time Waste Collectors / Estate Wardens covering residential properties across Bedford and Luton.
Location: Bedford based – covering Bedford & Luton
Rate: £17.00 per hour initially, increasing to £18.50 per hour after 4 weeks
Hours: Starting daily at 5:30pm
Additional Hours: Available depending on workload / how busy the service is

Job Description: We are looking for reliable, trustworthy and professional individuals to deliver a residential waste management and estate service across Bedford and Luton. Starting at 5:30pm each working day, you will independently drive a company-provided 3.5 tonne waste tipper vehicle along a set route covering seven residential flat blocks. This is predominantly a solo working position, so you must be comfortable managing your own workload, following a set route and completing the required work without direct supervision. You will be representing the client while working on residential client sites, so professionalism, reliability and attention to detail are extremely important.
Key Duties: Your responsibilities will include:
- Driving and taking responsibility for a company 3.5t waste tipper vehicle
- Completing a set route covering seven residential flat blocks across Bedford and Luton
- Patrolling communal areas, corridors and external areas
- Identifying and collecting fly-tipped and incorrectly disposed waste
- Safely loading, removing and disposing of waste
- Taking photographs of waste removed from each location
- Completing accurate reports following visits
- Reporting damage, hazards, recurring issues or concerns
- Maintaining clean and professional standards across residential sites
- Taking responsibility for company equipment while on shift
- Working independently and ensuring the full route is completed to the required standard
- Assisting the second contractor with larger clearances or bulk waste removals when required
Requirements: Applicants must have:
- Full UK driving licence
- Maximum of 6 points on driving licence
- Ability to drive a 3.5 tonne vehicle
- Ability to meet the required background / criminal record checks for the contract
- Good level of physical fitness and ability to safely move waste items when required
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Reliable and punctual approach to work
- Ability to work confidently and responsibly without direct supervision
- Good communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Professional attitude when working within residential communities
- Willingness to wear a company-issued body camera while carrying out duties
- Ability to take photographs and accurately complete reports following site visits
Previous Experience: Previous experience in any of the following would be advantageous:
