Arborists Needed in Stoke Albany, LE16. Stridden Limited are recruiting on behalf of an established Grounds and Garden Maintenance Contractor, who are currently looking for experienced Arborists to join their team on a long-term contract.

Start Date: 11th May 2026

Location: Market Harborough / Stoke Albany, LE16

Rate: £190 per shift

Hours: 6:45am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday

Paid Hours: 8 hours per day

Duration: 5 months

Duties:

The successful candidates will be working as part of a busy grounds and garden maintenance team, carrying out a variety of outdoor maintenance duties across the local area. Duties will include safely operating tools, machinery and maintenance equipment, supporting with grass cutting, hedge trimming, tree maintenance and general grounds maintenance tasks. The ideal candidates will have previous experience within arboriculture, landscaping or grounds maintenance. This position would suit someone who is reliable, safety-conscious, physically fit and happy to get stuck in as part of a hardworking team.

Key Duties:

  • Supporting tree care and general Arboricultural works where required
  • Safely operating tools, machinery and maintenance equipment
  • Working safely and efficiently as part of the site team
  • Assisting with general site duties when required
  • Maintaining a professional and proactive approach on site

Qualifications:

  • Entry-Level (Practical): Level 2 Certificate in Arboriculture and NPTC Level 2 Certificates of Competence in chainsaw maintenance, cross-cutting, and felling small trees.
  • Climbing & Aerial: NPTC Level 2/3 awards in tree climbing, aerial rescue, and operating a chainsaw from a rope and harness.
  • NPTC/LANTRA chainsaw maintenance and cross-cutting
  • NPTC/LANTRA tree climbing and aerial rescue
  • NPTC/LANTRA aerial cutting of trees with a chainsaw
  • Woodchipper certification would be beneficial
  • Lantra PA1 and/or PA2 would be beneficial but is not essential

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience within arboriculture, landscaping or grounds maintenance
  • Experience using grounds maintenance tools and equipment
  • Enhanced DBS check would be beneficial
  • If you do not currently hold an Enhanced DBS check, one will need to be completed, which the client will organise and pay for
  • Full clean driving licence preferred
  • Maximum 6 points accepted. Anything over this means you will not be able to operate machinery or drive vehicles
  • Reliable and proactive attitude
  • Strong awareness of health and safety
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Ability to travel to the yard in Stoke Albany, LE16 for morning pick-up
  • Two references available on application
