Libraries NI is responsible for managing and delivering the public library service throughout Northern Ireland. Libraries have a range of roles β cultural, educational, recreational and community β and they help people develop interests and enrich their lives. The Department is now seeking individuals, who have a keen interest in the modern library service and a strong desire to contribute to its leadership and oversight, to join the Libraries NI Board as either Councillor Members or Non-Councillors Members.
Applications are welcome from across the community, voluntary, business or public sectors particularly from women, disabled people, people from minority ethnic groups and young people. Further detail on the selection criteria, the role and the time commitment are included in the application pack which you are encouraged to read fully. Board Members receive remuneration of Β£3,225 per year.
