We're recruiting for a Billing Coordinator to join a busy and collaborative finance team in Manchester. This role would suit someone with previous billing experience within a professional services environment who enjoys working with stakeholders, managing billing processes and ensuring accuracy in a fast-paced setting. This is a great opportunity to join a supportive team where you'll have ownership of the billing process and play a key role in helping the business achieve its financial objectives.
The Role
- Managing the end-to-end billing process, ensuring invoices are raised and issued accurately and on time
- Processing invoices through various billing systems, including e-billing platforms and client portals
- Supporting month-end billing activities and monitoring invoicing targets
- Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure all information is in place for invoicing
- Raising credit notes and managing invoice amendments where required
- Reconciling billing information and supporting reporting activities
- Responding to invoice queries and working closely with Credit Control to resolve issues
- Creating and maintaining contracts and opportunities within internal systems
- Working collaboratively with finance and operational teams to ensure smooth billing processes
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and ad hoc billing administration tasks
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:
- Previous billing experience within a professional services environment
- Knowledge of VAT and e-billing processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good Excel skills and confidence working with systems
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership of processes
