An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Marketing Assistant to join a highly specialised, fast-paced legal environment. This is a stand-alone Marketing Assistant role offering significant autonomy, reporting directly to the Head of Business Development/Practice Director. You'll have regular weekly meetings for guidance but will primarily manage your own workload and projects.
As the Marketing Assistant, you will:
- Prepare and distribute marketing pitches for new and existing clients using branded materials
- Maintain the firm's public-facing content including brochures, the website (WordPress), LinkedIn posts, newsletters, client alerts, and virtual seminar updates
- Organise and manage seminars, webinars, conferences, and client briefings – including invitations, RSVP tracking, and on-the-day event coordination
- Update professional profiles, lawyer CVs, and legal directory submissions (Chambers and Partners, Legal 500)
- Manage the firm's marketing package with Lexology and liaise with the Senior Partner
- Maintain and update the firm's contact database
- Support the Business Development meetings with data, materials, and organisational input
The Marketing Assistant will also handle email campaigns using CreateSend, manage video content (Teams/Vimeo), and produce timely client communications. You'll be expected to respond swiftly to breaking legal news and collaborate with lawyers to ensure content is quickly created and distributed.
The Ideal Marketing Assistant
We are seeking a proactive and capable Marketing Assistant who demonstrates:
- Proven marketing experience, from within a law firm
- A degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office, WordPress, Adobe PDF tools, CreateSend, and LinkedIn
- Familiarity with video editing tools (Teams, Vimeo)
- Experience with legal directory submissions and CRM databases
- A confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
This is a growing firm, and this Marketing Assistant role has the potential to evolve into a Marketing Manager position over time. As the team expands, there will be the opportunity to take on more responsibility and eventually manage your own Marketing Assistant.
