We are looking for a bright, proactive and confident Learning & Development Assistant to join a busy and collaborative L&D team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and enthusiastic individual to gain varied, hands‑on experience supporting a high‑profile change and development programme within a professional services environment. The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders and play a key role in coordinating learning initiatives, workshops and events across the business.
The role would suit someone with previous experience within Learning & Development, HR coordination, events, or a professional services secretarial/PA background with strong scheduling and organisational experience.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, taking notes and distributing actions
- Supporting senior L&D stakeholders with project tracking and administration
- Organising internal and offsite learning events and workshops
- Managing invitations, attendee tracking and travel/accommodation arrangements
- Liaising with external consultants, venues and internal teams
- Preparing workshop materials, joining instructions and pre‑reading documentation
- Supporting virtual workshops including Zoom administration, breakout rooms and polls
- Managing post‑event feedback and reporting
- Tracking invoices and maintaining cost spreadsheets
- Degree educated or equivalent experience
- Previous experience within Learning & Development, HR support, events coordination or a professional services secretarial/PA role
- Strong scheduling and diary management experience
- Experience organising events and workshops
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines
- Proactive, adaptable and confident working with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
