Are you an experienced Business Development leader ready to drive strategy, shape growth, and work at the heart of a high-performing global practice? Strictly Recruitment is seeking an Associate Director of Business Development to lead BD for a market-leading EMEA Energy, Infrastructure, Project & Asset Finance (EIPAF) practice at one of our global law firm clients. This is a high-impact role partnering directly with senior stakeholders to enhance client engagement, unlock new opportunities, and elevate the practice’s market position.

The Opportunity

  • Take ownership of BD strategy and execution across EMEA, working closely with partners to:
  • Drive strategic growth initiatives and client development plans
  • Lead major pitches, proposals, and client presentations
  • Strengthen key client relationships and expand cross-selling opportunities
  • Deliver impactful thought leadership and market-facing campaigns
  • Oversee directory submissions, awards, and profile-raising activity

You’ll also lead and develop a team, while collaborating across an international network of BD professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement regional business plans and track performance
  • Lead high-value pitches, proposals, and credentials
  • Manage client feedback programmes and relationship initiatives
  • Drive growth across priority clients and sectors
  • Organise events, conferences, and strategic campaigns
  • Oversee BD infrastructure, reporting, and CRM effectiveness
  • Lead and mentor a London-based BD team (with wider EMEA collaboration)
