Ready to take greater ownership and build your career in HR and Early Talent Development?

This is an opportunity for an HR Assistant or Administrator looking for broader responsibility, meaningful employee contact and the chance to support people at the beginning of their careers.

Joining an established organisation’s specialist Early Careers Development team, you will combine generalist HR responsibilities with hands-on involvement in onboarding, development, performance and career milestones.

Why consider this opportunity?

  • Take ownership of processes and programmes, developing your confidence and independence.
  • Build experience across early careers development, employee relations and generalist HR.
  • Work closely with experienced colleagues in a small specialist team.
  • Develop relationships with early career employees, managers and external training providers.
  • Access learning and development opportunities to support your own career.

What you’ll be doing

  • Coordinating onboarding, inductions and events for future and new joiners.
  • Supporting development programmes, placements, secondments and career progression processes.
  • Managing mentoring and buddy programmes.
  • Tracking performance reviews and supporting wellbeing, absence and performance matters.
  • Maintaining accurate HR records, reports and development trackers.
  • Responding to employee queries and managing the team inbox.
  • Working with HR, Recruitment and L&D colleagues on projects and process improvements.

What we’re looking for

You’ll have existing HR experience within a corporate or professional services environment, ideally with some exposure to early careers.

Crucially, you’ll be confident taking ownership of processes, following actions through and keeping deadlines on track. Excellent organisation, attention to detail, communication skills and a proactive approach are essential, alongside strong Microsoft Office skills and discretion with confidential information.
