Strictly Recruitment is currently recruiting for an exciting Business Development Specialist opportunity to join a high-performing international team supporting market-leading practices in Global Finance, Private Credit, Capital Markets, Structured Credit, and Restructuring at one of our global law firm clients.
The Opportunity
As a Business Development Specialist, you’ll play a key role in coordinating and delivering strategic BD and marketing initiatives across London-based teams, while collaborating with colleagues globally. You’ll support revenue growth, strengthen client relationships, and help position the practice at the top of the market. This is a varied and fast-paced role with exposure to senior stakeholders and complex, high-value work.
Key Responsibilities
- Support execution of business plans and client development initiatives
- Work closely with BD leadership to identify and pursue new opportunities
- Help strengthen relationships with key clients across finance and restructuring
- Maintain deal tracking systems and client coverage reports
- Conduct market, client, and sector research to identify growth opportunities
- Manage client data, experience records, and CRM systems
- Coordinate and develop high-quality pitch documents, RFP responses, and presentations
- Maintain up-to-date credentials, deal lists, and marketing collateral
- Support legal directory submissions, league tables, and awards processes
- Assist with the delivery of client events, conferences, and sponsorships
- Coordinate logistics, guest lists, and on-the-day execution
- Support thought leadership initiatives and brand-building activities
- Work cross-functionally with BD, marketing, and communications teams globally
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Coordinate internal meetings and ensure smooth execution of BD initiatives
About You
- 3–6 years’ Business Development experience within professional services (law firm experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of financial markets or interest in finance/restructuring
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
- Confident working with stakeholders at all levels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
