Credit Controller
Location: City of London
Salary: £52,000-£58,000 per annum
Job Type: Permanent
Hybrid: 3/2
Hours: 9:30am-5:30pm
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Credit Controller to join a leading professional services firm. The successful candidate must have previous law firm experience and a strong understanding of WIP, debt management and the wider order-to-cash cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients and drive cash collection.
- Monitor WIP and debt, identifying and escalating high-risk balances.
- Support WIP reduction and improved conversion.
- Assist with cash forecasting and monthly exposure reporting.
- Liaise with Partners, Fee Earners, clients and the Cashiers team.
- Assist with reconciliations, reporting and client analysis.
- Recommend appropriate action on debt recovery, settlements and write-offs.
About You
- Previous Credit Control experience within a law firm is essential.
- Strong WIP and debt management knowledge.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Confident working with Partners and Fee Earners.
- Proactive, organised and commercially minded.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
