A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a PR Assistant to join a leading law firm in Birmingham. This role would suit a proactive and creative PR professional looking to develop their career within a varied communications environment.
Working closely with the wider Marketing & BD team, you will support PR activity, media relations, social media and external communications, helping to build the organisation's profile and reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and delivery of PR campaigns and initiatives.
- Identify news stories, PR opportunities and media angles.
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists and key stakeholders.
- Research relevant media outlets and support targeted pitches.
- Draft and distribute press releases, briefings and Q&A documents.
- Monitor media coverage and maintain accurate media lists.
- Upload news and PR content to the website and support social media promotion.
- Assist with podcasts, events and wider external communications.
- Work closely with internal teams and senior stakeholders.
- Provide general administrative and wider team support as required.
About You
- 12+ months' PR experience is essential.
- Experience writing press releases and PR content.
- Confident communicating with journalists and external stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative, organised and able to work to deadlines.
- Proactive with excellent attention to detail.
- Professional services or agency experience would be advantageous.
- PR/CIM qualifications, or an interest in pursuing these, would be desirable.
