Hours: 22.5 hours per week over 3 days across the week to include weekend working.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the team as an Assistant Shop Manager. The post holder will play a key role working closely with and deputising for the Shop Managers in all aspects of running a thriving and busy charity shop. Our retail roles are full of variety and can range from using your creativity and flair in all aspects of merchandising the shop, to recruiting and training our wonderful team of shop volunteers.

Our Barnards Green Clearance Shop offers the last chance to buy unsold goods from our 20 shops at bargain prices – encouraging reuse and recycling. This sustainable way of shopping for preloved items will help raise funds for St Richard’s Hospice services, caring for patients, families and bereaved people in Worcestershire. You will assist in achieving set income targets and maximising sales, where you can make a real difference in contributing to the income generation for St Richard’s Hospice and raise the funds needed to provide care to patients and loved ones across Worcestershire.

About you:

  • You will have excellent customer service and experience within a retail environment, ideally with team leader or management experience.
  • You will also have the ability to work cohesively and motivate a team.
  • You will be business minded and commercially aware, with a creative eye for fabulous window and shop displays.

This is a standout opportunity to further develop your retail skill set, experience, and leadership skills in a supportive working environment. Due to the nature of the role and travel required to our shops, a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are requirements for the role. The positions require an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. This role may require supervision of volunteers under the age of 18.
