EBB | Worthing Pier
EBB sits right above Worthing Pier. Small restaurant, produce-led, and we take the food and the service seriously without being precious about it. We're looking for someone to run the floor and lead the team.
We want someone who's naturally warm with people. The sort of person who remembers a regular's usual order, has a laugh with the table, and actually enjoys the job rather than just getting through it. If you already know your wine, great. If you don't but you're keen to learn, that's fine too; we'll get you there.
Open to an experienced Restaurant Manager, or an Assistant Manager ready to take the next step.
What you'll do
- Run service on the floor, day-to-day
- Get to know our regulars and make sure they keep coming back
- Manage and support a small team
- Help build out the wine list and food pairings with us over time
- Keep standards high while keeping the room feeling relaxed, not stiff
What we're after
- Warm and approachable, more than anything else
- Experience in a decent restaurant, whether as an Assistant Manager or already a Restaurant Manager
- Calm under pressure, organised
- Good wine knowledge, or genuinely keen to learn
- Cares about the details without being uptight about them
The practical bits
- Hours: Thursday to Sunday, four days on covering seven services (Thursday afternoon and evening, Friday lunch and dinner, Saturday lunch and dinner, Sunday lunch). Monday to Wednesday off.
- Holiday: 28 days including bank holidays
- Staff meals: Free on every shift
- Wine training: We'll fund and support WSET study
- Team: Small front of house team, under 10, so you'll actually know everyone
How to apply
Apply through this listing with your CV and a couple of lines on why EBB. We read everything ourselves, and if it feels right, we'll get you in for a coffee.
