We’re looking for someone to help us turn proven Strengthify work into new organisational opportunities across the NHS, Higher Education and wider public sector. This is a new business role, but not a high-volume or transactional sales role. At Strengthify, we help leaders, managers and teams strengthen how they work together in real organisational environments - particularly during pressure and change.

Our work combines practical strengths-based development, facilitated workshops and programmes, and Strengthify Engage - our digital platform designed to help new ways of working become visible, usable and embedded over time. We’re now looking for someone who can help us take what is already working and bring it to more organisations, regions, services and decision-makers. That might mean identifying where successful NHS work with postgraduate trainees, SAS doctors, LED doctors or leadership cohorts could be relevant elsewhere. It might mean helping universities understand how Strengthify can support teams through transformation, restructure or change. It might mean finding the right person in an organisation and starting a conversation that leads to meaningful work.

You’ll need to be comfortable creating opportunities, running credible early conversations with senior stakeholders, shaping next steps, and closing first pieces of business. Just as importantly, we’re looking for someone who can judge which opportunities are worth pursuing. In some cases, the first step may be a paid pilot or focused initial project, but the goal is to build relationships that can grow within the first year and develop into recurring programmes, wider Engage adoption or longer-term organisational partnerships. This is about good business, not just any business - pursuing work where Strengthify can create meaningful impact and where there is a credible path beyond the first engagement.

You won’t be doing this alone. You’ll work closely with our consultants, Relationship Manager, marketing team and founder. But we do want someone who can confidently open and progress conversations independently, before bringing others in at the right point. This role is about impact as well as growth. We want to grow because we believe Strengthify can help more organisations improve leadership, teamwork, collaboration and confidence in the places where those things matter most.

Strengthify helps leadership and teamwork hold up under pressure. We support leaders responsible for departments, directorates and services to build more consistent leadership and teamwork across teams - so conversations, collaboration and coordination hold up through pressure and change. Our approach brings together:

  • Strengthify Profile - a practical strengths and working styles framework
  • Facilitated development - workshops, programmes and team sessions
  • Strengthify Engage - the digital home of the Strengthify ecosystem, helping insight translate into everyday leadership and teamwork

We work mainly across: NHS and health organisations, Higher Education, Local government and wider public services. We are still a small team, but we’re ambitious. Longer term, we want Strengthify to become something organisations increasingly standardise around when they want to improve how managers, teams and leaders work together. We’re not trying to sell isolated workshops. We’re building a connected ecosystem that helps development stick and supports better everyday work.

You’ll help us create and close new organisational opportunities by taking proven work into new contexts. This is likely to include:

  • Identifying where existing Strengthify work could be relevant to new organisations, regions or services
  • Building relationships with NHS, Higher Education and wider public sector decision-makers
  • Developing opportunities with medical education, workforce, OD, leadership, transformation and service leaders
  • Creating new conversations around areas such as postgraduate medical education, SAS and LED doctor development, leadership capability, team collaboration and organisational change
  • Running credible first meetings independently and identifying where Strengthify could add value
  • Prioritising opportunities with strong strategic fit, meaningful impact and a credible route to longer-term growth
  • Working with consultants and colleagues to shape relevant proposals and next steps
  • Converting qualified opportunities into first paid engagements
  • Supporting clean handover into relationship management once an organisation has entered the Strengthify ecosystem
  • Maintaining a clear and useful pipeline in HubSpot

Initially, we expect the role to be weighted towards NHS and health-related opportunities, while also developing relevant Higher Education and wider public sector work.

You might have worked in business development, consultative sales, partnerships, public sector growth, workforce development, leadership development, healthcare, Higher Education, consultancy or professional services. What matters most is that you can build trust, understand organisational challenges, create opportunities and close meaningful business without becoming pushy or transactional. We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • Proven experience creating, progressing and closing new business opportunities
  • Confidence running early-stage conversations with senior stakeholders
  • The ability to identify where a proven proposition could apply elsewhere
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Commercial judgement and the ability to close deals appropriately
  • Curiosity about organisational challenges and public sector pressures
  • The confidence to work independently while collaborating closely with others
  • Strong written communication and proposal-shaping ability
  • A thoughtful, values-aligned approach to growth

Experience in or around the NHS would be particularly valuable. Experience in Higher Education or wider public sector environments would also be helpful.

Location: UK-based, remote working with occasional travel to meetings, events or workshops

Type: Full-time or part-time considered, with a minimum of approximately 3 days per week

Salary: £60,000 FTE base salary

OTE: Strong performers should be able to achieve £90,000-£120,000+ FTE, based on commission linked to new organisational business generated and won

Commission: Initially based on 10% of first-year revenue from new organisational business, subject to agreed terms. Commission is uncapped, but our emphasis is on building the right kind of business - relationships that create impact, trust and potential for long-term growth.

Holiday: 40 days per year FTE, including bank holidays

Pension: 5% employer contribution

Development: Ongoing professional development and support

Purpose: We help leaders, managers and teams strengthen how they work together in real organisational environments - particularly during pressure and change.

We are open to different working patterns, provided there is enough availability to build momentum with prospects, follow up consistently and manage live opportunities well. This may suit someone who wants a meaningful, commercially important role that fits alongside other commitments outside of work.

This is a chance to help build something with real-world impact. The work we do supports people who are leading teams, services and organisations through pressure, complexity and change. When Strengthify works well, managers feel more confident, teams understand each other better, conversations improve, collaboration strengthens and organisations become better equipped to support their people. We’re at an important stage. We have strong foundations, meaningful proof points and a growing ecosystem. Now we need to turn that into more repeatable, sustainable and commercially successful growth. You’ll have the opportunity to shape that next phase.
