Personal Trainer - London
Self-employed, £33 to £45 per hour
About Strength House:
Strength House is a specialist exercise rehabilitation facility in the heart of the City of London. Our clients are professionals who come to us with injuries, persistent niggles and unresolved pain - usually after trying multiple treatments and other traditional methods that haven’t worked.
Our approach is assessment-led and grounded in physics: joint mechanics, force, torque and moment arms. It is closer to clinical practice than to commercial gym training and it is why a lot of our clients stay with us long-term.
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Personal Trainer to join us on a self-employed basis, delivering one-to-one rehabilitation and strength sessions to an established client base.
A reliable 6:30am start is essential - early mornings are the busiest and most important part of our day.
Your diary from day one. You’ll be given clients, filling your early morning slots - no cold starting, no chasing, no marketing. Remaining slots fill over time and until they do your spare hours go into structured in-house education.
Earnings:
A full diary represents earnings in the region of £65,000 per year.
What You’ll Get:
- An established client base from day one. Committed City professionals who book in blocks and turn up.
- Specialist exercise rehab education included.
- No rent, no floor fees, no marketing spend. You keep your session rate, we handle the clients, the space and the majority of the admin.
- Genuine progression into a specialism very few trainers in London can offer.
- A small, experienced team - you’ll be working alongside experienced specialists, not managing yourself in isolation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-to-one personal training and rehabilitation sessions tailored to each client’s goals, abilities, and injury considerations.
- Understand and implement personalised training programmes with guidance from the senior team.
- Build strong, professional relationships with clients to support motivation, progress, and long-term retention.
- Manage your own diary through our booking system (Mindbody) — booking, rescheduling, and checking out sessions accurately and promptly.
- Follow protocols for session timing, client management, and equipment care, so every client receives the same consistent standard of service.
What We're Looking For:
Essential -
- Availability Monday to Friday 6.30am to 3.00pm, with reliability for the early start.
- Level 3 Personal Training qualification (or equivalent) as a minimum.
- Demonstrable experience as a Personal Trainer.
- Excellent communication skills - with clients and with the team.
- Organised and responsive; comfortable managing your own diary and admin.
- Own public liability insurance or willingness to arrange it before starting.
Desirable -
- Experience in exercise rehabilitation, injury management or clinical exercise.
- Familiarity with the Resistance Training Specialist (RTS) programme.
