Streetwise Opera is looking to appoint a Senior Philanthropy Manager to lead on an exciting new strand of fundraising for the organisation. Over the last five years, Streetwise Opera has been steadily growing its individual giving income. Now, as we approach our 25th year, we are looking to markedly increase this area of fundraising, finding more supporters who are passionate about what we do and want to play a part in a vibrant and impactful future for the organisation.

Working with a small and highly committed staff team and Board, we’re looking for someone who can continue to build on the foundations that are already in place, bringing new knowledge, expertise and ideas into the organisation, and playing a key role in the income generation that will allow us to achieve our ambitious future plans.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for growing our major donor portfolio, developing our prospect pipeline and implementing a major donor strategy. This will include cultivating and stewarding existing and prospective donors, creating compelling fundraising proposals and working closely with our senior leadership team and Trustees to build lasting relationships with supporters.

We will guarantee first round interviews to candidates who have lived experience of homelessness and meet the essential criteria.

Closing date for applications: 10:00am, Monday 23 November 2026. We do not close applications early. We will contact all applicants regarding the outcome of their application by the end of the working day on Friday 27 November.

Contract: 3 years, 0.4 (2 days per week), fixed-term contract.

Hours: 14 hours (2 days) per week. Preferred working days would be Mondays and Wednesdays, but there is flexibility.
