Our team in Peterborough primarily supports SME corporates however experience of academies and other not for profit entities is desirable.
Role Overview
To manage a portfolio of account clients providing a high standard of professionalism along with quality of service.
Manage and organise the work of the team effectively to ensure that targets are met and standards maintained in accordance with the relevant accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with UK GAAP in the preparation and analysis of financial statements.
- Design substantive testing, control walkthroughs and analytical review procedures to assess financial risks.
- Prepare and complete audit files for Partner.
- Assess financial risks and recommend improvements to client systems and processes, fostering strong working relationships.
- Attend client meetings with the audit lead Partner.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and compliant audit delivery and support client decision-making processes.
- Manage and support junior colleagues by guiding their technical learning.
- Remain up to date on recent and upcoming changes to FRS’s and ISAs
Skills, Qualifications And Other Requirements
- ACA/ACCA qualified
- General practice experience
- Strong experience and knowledge of an audits and of audit ISAs requirements
- Ability to travel to client premises and between offices
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good IT skills
