Role Overview

To manage a portfolio of account clients providing a high standard of professionalism along with quality of service. Manage and organise the work of the team effectively to ensure that targets are met and standards maintained in accordance with the relevant accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management of a portfolio of account clients ensuring timely submission of financial statements and tax returns, ensuring timely completion of work, maintaining profitability.
  • Develop and maintain effective client relationships, including attending client meetings.
  • Produce year end accounts and financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, charities and limited companies in accordance with the relevant accounting standards.
  • Organise the flow of work within the team, allocating assignments as necessary taking into consideration resourcing requirements.
  • Oversee and mentor junior team members, reviewing work and supporting their development.
  • Monitoring, assisting and reporting on team performance.
  • Ensure that work is delivered with budget and time requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and approve tax computations and returns.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and share insights with clients and the team.

Skills, Qualifications And Other Requirements

  • ACA/ACCA qualified.
  • General Practice experience.
  • Ability to travel to client premises.
  • Strong IT skills including cloud accounting platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with clients from all sectors.
  • Good organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
