This senior position offers the opportunity to take ownership of key client relationships, drive the delivery of complex tax projects, and help to shape the future of our tax practice. You will work closely with partners and other senior leaders to develop and implement strategies that support both client and business growth whilst supporting the general practice team.
This is an autonomous role where you will have responsibility for managing the projects undertaken, maximising fee income, identifying business opportunities, controlling work in progress and billing for services provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing a diverse portfolio of corporate tax clients, ensuring the delivery of high-quality advisory services including M&A transactions, tax due diligence, share option schemes, restructures and reorganisations, succession and exit planning including but not limited to company buybacks, capital reductions and MBO’s.
- You will also be responsible for undertaking technical compliance reviews of corporation tax computations prepared by the team.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and identifying opportunities for additional services.
- Staying ahead of changes in tax legislation and sharing insights with clients and the team to ensure compliance and identify planning opportunities.
- Contributing to the strategic direction of the corporate tax department, including business development initiatives and process improvements.
- Representing the firm at client meetings, industry events, and in business development activities.
- While the role is focused on corporate matters, ideally you will have some knowledge/experience in personal tax, VAT if possible and Stamp duty/Stamp Duty Land Tax.
