Job Purpose
Join our office in Stamford to manage a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring a high standard of professionalism and quality of service. Support the business to effectively meet targets and maintain standards in line with relevant accounting guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the management of a portfolio of account clients ensuring timely submission of financial statements and tax returns, ensuring timely completion of work, maintaining profitability.
- Develop and maintain effective client relationships, including attending client meetings.
- Prepare financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, charities and limited companies.
- Produce year end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies in accordance with the relevant accounting standards.
- Support the organisation of the flow of work, taking into consideration resourcing requirements.
- Ensure that work is delivered with budget and time requirements.
- Provide assistance in the development of junior staff.
- Prepare schedules for tax returns.
- Complete VAT returns.
Skills, Qualifications and other Requirements
- ACA/ACCA qualified
- General Practice experience
- Ability to travel to client premises and between offices
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
- Good computer skills
- Ability to work as part of a team, yet also work using own initiative when required.
- Good organisational and administrative skills
- Excellent attention to detail
