We’re looking for a Senior Accounts Manager or Associate Director with the drive and expertise to help us take things to the next level. If you want a role where you’ll make a genuine difference - modernising systems, developing people, shaping strategy, and growing a business - then we want to hear from you.
What’s the Opportunity?
This isn’t a “keep things ticking over” kind of role. You’ll be stepping into a key leadership position, managing a diverse client portfolio and a talented (but developing) team. The practice has a solid foundation, but there are areas for improvement: updating processes, building out our tech capability (including AI/automation), and sharpening our commercial edge. You’ll work closely with Directors and Partners to set a clear direction for the practice. There’s a defined route to Directorship here, and we’ll support you every step of the way.
What Will You Do?
- Lead and Develop: Guide and grow your team, creating a culture of high standards, accountability, and continuous improvement. We want someone who invests in people and leads by example.
- Modernise: Help us adopt smarter, more efficient ways of working. We’re on a digital journey- there’s real scope here for someone who enjoys making change happen and isn’t afraid to challenge “how things have always been done.”
- Client Portfolio Management: Deliver excellent service across audit, accounts, and advisory work. Build lasting client relationships, identify opportunities to add value, and ensure we remain a trusted advisor to our clients.
- Drive Growth: Spot commercial opportunities, develop new business, and expand what we offer to existing clients. You’ll play a key role in driving profitable growth for the practice.
- Strategic Input: Work with our leadership team on practice-wide priorities, whether that’s preparing for growth, improving our processes, or developing new service lines.
- Change Management: Embrace and lead change, bringing the team along and helping everyone adapt to new systems, technologies, and ways of working.
What Are We Looking For?
- Professional Experience: ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with strong post-qualification experience in practice - ideally across audit, accounts, and advisory.
- Leadership: You’ve led teams, managed people, and are comfortable developing others to reach their potential.
- Commercial Instinct: You understand what makes a practice profitable and can spot growth opportunities, both with existing clients and in the market.
- Strategic Thinking: You’re able to balance immediate needs with long-term goals and make decisions with the bigger picture in mind.
- Digital Mindset: You’re open to new tech, and ideally have experience leveraging digital tools, AI, or automation in practice.
- Regional Understanding: Knowledge of the North West business landscape would be a real asset.
What’s in it for You?
- A Platform for Progression: Structured pathway to Directorship and, in time, Regional Lead - backed by mentoring and real investment in your development.
- A Role with Impact: You’ll be central to how the practice evolves - your ideas and efforts will shape our future.
- Supportive, Collaborative Culture: We value openness, accountability, and genuine teamwork.
- Competitive Reward Package: Strong salary, performance-based bonus, private healthcare, pension, life assurance, employee benefits scheme, and 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays.
- Hybrid/Flexible Working: We support a modern approach to work - what matters is the outcome, not where you log in from.
- Commitment to Inclusion: We welcome applicants from all backgrounds. Streets is committed to equal opportunities for everyone.
The Reality
Our North West practice is a work in progress, but there’s a clear plan and the support, to get there. If you’re looking for somewhere “perfect,” this might not be the right fit. But if you see the challenge as part of the appeal, and you want to help lead genuine change with the full backing of the wider firm, then we’d love to hear from you.
