Role Overview
To assist managers, directors and partners with the completion and review of personal tax computations, dealing with tax queries from colleagues and clients as well as complex HMRC correspondence and tax planning issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage portfolio of personal tax clients ensuring compliance with HMRC and in-house deadlines
- Prepare tax computations and returns for Manager/Director review
- Review tax work prepared by non-tax specialists
- Provide technical assistance in resolving tax queries
- Provide assistance on ad hoc advisory projects including technical research
- Identify tax planning opportunities
- Supporting and training other members of the tax department
- Provide capital gains and inheritance tax planning advice
- Manage complex HMRC correspondence
Key Skills and Competencies
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
- Ability to work as part of a team, yet also work using own initiative when required.
- ATT qualified with 5-6 years post qualified experience
- Good commercial understanding
- Ability to work to demanding deadlines
- Ability to travel to client premises and between offices

- Have experience of working with CCH personal tax (desirable)
