Streatham & Clapham High School (SCHS) is seeking a dynamic and inspirational teacher of Computer Science, with an interest in Design Technology and Engineering, to join our thriving and forward-thinking school community. In this role, you will teach Computer Science from Years 7 to 11, with the opportunity to teach A Level if suitably qualified. Alongside this, you will play an active role in supporting the teaching of Design Technology and Engineering at Key Stage 3 and 4.

This is a key appointment within a school that is deeply committed to advancing girls and young women in STEM. You will also be involved in preparing students for university applications and degree apprenticeships, while helping to build strong relationships with academic and industry partners.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified teacher with a strong academic background in a relevant subject and a track record of successful teaching at GCSE and/or A Level. We are looking for someone who embodies our values of kindness, compassion, integrity, and respect.

The Departments

The DT/Engineering and Computer Science departments are an intrinsic part of our commitment to advancing women in STEM. Both departments share a vision of excellence and aim to inspire a passion for technology and engineering in our students. The Computer Science department benefits from a brand-new refurbishment, including a dedicated podcasting booth, and the DT department is undergoing further improvements this summer. Approximately two-thirds of our students achieve grades 9-7 at GCSE.
