Streamline are currently recruiting for Delivery Drivers for work based out of West Thurrock. This role works Tuesday to Friday each week with a typical start time between 07:00 and 08:00am and around 10 hours per day. The position is for a 3.5t (B) licence holder driving a Long Wheel based van, with a temporary to permanent route after between four and thirteen weeks. Pay rates are £15.50 per hour (sub‑contractor rate, £12.50 PAYE equivalent). The assignment is Monday to Friday, a 40‑hour week. The employer values good knowledge of London roads, experience delivering to the service industry, and exceptional customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a Long Wheel based van for multi‑drop delivery.
  • Deliver wine and spirits to premium bars, restaurants, hotels and other service‑industry customers.
  • Act as the face of the client’s business, delighting customers through polite, helpful and positive interaction.
  • Carry cases of wine which on average weigh 15–20kg.
  • Maintain an accurate rota and adhere to start times 07:00–08:00am Tuesday to Friday.
  • Ensure products are delivered safely and on schedule.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Strong knowledge of all London Road networks.
  • Experience delivering into the service industry is vital.
  • Good experience as a multi‑drop driver.
  • Excellent oral communication and time management skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills – polite, helpful and positive attitude.
  • Ability to carry cases of wine weighing 15–20kg.
  • Valid UK driver’s licence (UK licence required due to insurance policy).
