Streamline Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a global logistics company to recruit a Sales & Development Executive based at their Tilbury site. They offer Air, Sea, Road, and Rail freight services with over 40 years’ expertise in the field. Due to business growth, they are looking to appoint a dedicated Sales & Development Executive who can handle both cold and warm sales opportunities, account manage key clients, and oversee the full cycle from enquiry to onboarding new customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and source new business opportunities, leveraging your own leads and those provided by the Sales and Operations teams.
  • Develop new sales across FCL/LCL sea freight, air freight, and road freight, for both imports and exports.
  • Prepare accurate quotations, ensuring all relevant terms and clauses are included.
  • Operate flexibly, working both in‑office and in the field as required.
  • Bring transferable business connections to support growth (advantageous but not essential).
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams to ensure service excellence.
  • Adapt responsibilities as needed to reflect evolving operational requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in freight sales (sea, air, road) within a freight forwarding environment.
  • Proven track record in sales and business development.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Friendly, approachable, and collaborative team spirit.

Location: Tilbury, Essex

Hours: Monday–Friday, 09:00–17:00

Salary: £30-37.5k + commission
