We’re working with a well‑established building services contractor delivering high‑quality projects across the residential, student accommodation, and hotel sectors throughout London. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor to commercially lead projects from pre‑construction through to final account. This is a great opportunity to join a business known for long‑term staff retention, strong client relationships, and a consistent pipeline of secured work up to £500m.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the commercial management of M&E packages across multiple projects
  • Manage projects from tender stage through to final account
  • Procurement and management of subcontract packages
  • Cost planning, budgeting, and financial reporting
  • Preparation and submission of valuations and variations
  • Risk management and value engineering
  • Liaising with clients, consultants, and internal delivery teams
  • Support and mentor junior members of the commercial team

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor within a contractor environment
  • Strong understanding of mechanical & electrical packages
  • Ability to run projects independently
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
  • Working knowledge of JCT contracts
  • Relevant qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
