We are looking for an experienced Technical Engineer, On-The-Road Technician and Trainer to support customers on site with Streamline® van installations and professional cleaning equipment. This field-based role combines strong technical knowledge with the ability to deliver clear, hands-on training.
You will commission systems, resolve technical issues and show operators how to use their equipment safely and effectively. The role suits someone who can explain technical information in a practical, straightforward way.
The On-The-Road role suits someone with strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills, who can work independently and communicate clearly with customers while keeping systems running safely and efficiently.
Duties
- Visit customer sites to provide technical support and training on Streamline® van installations and cleaning equipment.
- Train operators on safe set-up, use, maintenance and best working practices.
- Commission, test and demonstrate systems to ensure they are working correctly.
- Support equipment including water purification systems, water-fed poles, pressure washers and related accessories.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, plumbing and system issues while on site.
- Give customers practical advice on routine maintenance and reducing downtime.
- Adapt training for individuals or teams with different levels of technical knowledge.
- Record visits, training delivered and any technical work completed.
- Work with technical, production, van installation and aftersales teams to maintain strong customer support.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and pipework systems.
- Good understanding of pumps, motors, filtration, controllers, valves, hoses and related components.
- Experience with cleaning equipment, water purification or pressure washing systems would be an advantage.
- Confident fault-finding across complete systems, not just individual components.
- Able to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams and specifications.
- Comfortable delivering practical training and demonstrations.
- Clear communicator with a professional and approachable manner.
- Able to work independently, manage site visits and make sound technical decisions.
- Organised, accurate with records and willing to travel regularly.
- Full UK driving licence essential.
