As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Service Engineer to join our engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys diagnosing technical faults, carrying out repairs and servicing, and delivering exceptional customer support both in our workshop and on customer sites across the UK.

The Role

As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, maintaining, and commissioning Streamline Systems equipment. The role combines workshop-based engineering with travel to customer locations when required, ensuring equipment is operating safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

You will work closely with our Technical, Aftersales, and Production teams to provide first-class technical support and ensure an outstanding customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and service pressure washing and window cleaning equipment.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing across the Streamline Systems product range.
  • Attend customer sites throughout the UK to complete repairs, servicing, installations, and commissioning when required.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and operational faults, providing effective solutions.
  • Install and commission new customer equipment, ensuring safe operation and customer satisfaction.
  • Complete accurate service reports, job sheets, and technical documentation.
  • Maintain company tools, workshop equipment, and service vehicle stock to a high standard.
  • Liaise with the Technical and Aftersales teams regarding ongoing repairs and customer requirements.
  • Provide excellent customer service by explaining faults, repairs, and maintenance recommendations professionally.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company procedures.
  • Represent Streamline Systems professionally at all times.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience as a Service Engineer, Field Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or similar technical role.
  • Experience servicing and repairing diesel and petrol-powered pressure washing equipment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
  • Experience working with 12V electrical systems and wiring.
  • Good understanding of pumps, motors, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the UK and stay away from home when required.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces when necessary.
  • Knowledge of Comet Spa pumps.
  • Experience with Webasto heating systems.
  • Experience working with pressure washer and boiler systems.
  • Welding or fabrication experience.
  • Experience with hydraulic systems.
  • Experience installing and commissioning specialist equipment.
