Streamline Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Traffic Administrator who has experience working within the container haulage sector, for a fantastic client of ours based in Stanford-le-Hope. This is a busy, operational role supporting the traffic team, with a strong focus on container booking, liaising with drivers and customers, managing paperwork and updating systems.
Duties:
- Working closely with the operations team to ensure bookings and job details are accurately allocated on VBS
- Using TRUCKCOM to manage and update container movements
- Receiving and issuing PIN numbers for container releases
- Handling customer enquiries and providing updates on ETAs, delays and changes
- Collating and checking paperwork for completed jobs
- Participating in daily booking and administration activities, including managing emails and phone calls
- Liaising effectively between the administration team, customers and internal departments
- Applying knowledge of container sizes and specifications to ensure accurate bookings
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience in a Traffic Administrator / Transport Administrator role
- Container haulage experience is essential
- Familiarity with VBS and TRUCKCOM systems (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Confident communicator with a customer-focused approach
£26,000 – £30,000 (DOE) Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:00 or 09:00 – 17:00
