The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 Β£ per year.
The role requires a qualified engineer who takes pride in their work, has five yearsβ experience in a similar role, can work unsupervised as well as part of a team, and is keen to work weekends (for overtime). We are looking for a candidate who remains calm under pressure and has a can-do attitude as they will be expected to handle emergency situations. Being part of a small team, the successful candidate will be able to influence and shape the future of the division. You will be reporting directly to the Senior Maintenance Contracts Manager.
Duties include:
- Carry out preventative maintenance service visits on mechanical equipment as per SFG20 specification (e.g. VRV/VRF & Split Systems, HVAC Systems, Booster Pumps, Primary & Secondary Heating pumps, Pressurisation Units, small unvented and vented water systems, plumbing services, waste pumps, trace heating).
- Carry out reactive breakdowns of above services and fault finding when required.
- Supervise subcontractors arranged by Kentex to ensure services are completed in line with H&S requirements.
- Complete electronic service reports/records in a timely manner.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and call outs during normal hours as well as when on call.
- Be on call to respond to emergency call outs every five weeks.
- Report any remedial action required on serviced assets and provide details for repair required.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with clients and other contractors.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous relevant work experience in a similar role (minimum 5 years).
- City & Guild Level 2, preferably Level 3 or equivalent qualification (e.g. C&G 6187 & 6187-21).
- Mechanical (HVAC) qualification 6189 β (would be an advantage but not essential).
- CITB Site Supervisor Safety Training qualification and valid skill card.
- Confident oral and written skills.
- IT literate - Microsoft operating system and packages.
- Full and valid UK driving licence.
- Must have a clean criminal record.
