Company Overview: We’re representing a well-established MEP contractor based in Mitcham, South London, who specialise in delivering CAT A/B commercial build projects across London and the South East. With a strong reputation for quality delivery and long-standing client relationships, the business continues to grow and is now seeking an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to join their management team.
Role Overview: As the Mechanical Contracts Manager, you will oversee multiple mechanical projects ranging in value from £100,000 to £5,000,000. You’ll act as the project lead across several sites, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining high standards of quality and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management and delivery of multiple CAT A/B commercial build projects.
- Manage all stages of project delivery – from tender to completion and handover.
- Lead and coordinate project teams, including site managers, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Work closely with design, commercial, and procurement teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Maintain project budgets, programmes, and quality standards.
- Manage client relationships and represent the company at progress and coordination meetings.
- Ensure compliance with company health, safety, and environmental policies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Contracts Manager or Senior Mechanical Project Manager within the MEP or building services industry.
- Strong background in commercial CAT A/B projects (essential).
- Experience managing multiple projects concurrently (values up to £5M).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Commercially astute with strong cost and contract management understanding.
- Based within a commutable distance of Mitcham / South London (essential).
- Relevant mechanical or building services qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree preferred).
