Role Overview We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior CAD/Revit Technician to join our growing CAD/BIM team. The successful candidate will provide technical drawing and modelling support across a range of building services projects, working alongside experienced engineers, CAD technicians and BIM specialists. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who is looking to develop their technical knowledge and gain practical experience in both AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit, with structured support and training provided. The role will involve producing and updating drawings, developing Revit models, incorporating engineering information and ensuring that project information is accurate, coordinated and produced in accordance with company standards. Key Responsibilities CAD / Drawing Production * Produce and amend 2D technical drawings using AutoCAD in accordance with project requirements. * Update existing drawings based on information provided by engineers and senior technicians. * Ensure drawings are produced accurately and to the required company standards. * Carry out drawing checks and rectify errors identified during the checking process. * Ensure drawings are correctly named, numbered and issued in accordance with project procedures. Revit/BIM * Develop and maintain Revit models under the guidance of experienced BIM/Revit technicians. * Assist with the modelling of mechanical and electrical building services. * Add and update equipment, systems and associated information within Revit models. * Assist with the production of Revit-based drawings and documentation. * Develop an understanding of BIM standards, workflows and project requirements. * Assist with model coordination and identify potential clashes or inconsistencies. * Maintain model information in accordance with company and project standards. Project Support * Work closely with engineers and senior technicians to understand project requirements. * Interpret engineering sketches, mark-ups, specifications and design information. * Assist with the preparation and updating of project documentation. * Maintain awareness of project deadlines and communicate any issues that may affect delivery. * Maintain organised project files and follow company document management procedures. Training & Development The successful candidate will be supported in developing their technical skills and will be expected to undertake training in: * AutoCAD * Autodesk Revit * BIM principles and workflows * Building services modelling * Company CAD/BIM standards * Drawing production and documentation As experience develops, the role will provide opportunities to take increased responsibility for individual drawings, models and project packages. Essential Skills & Experience * An interest in CAD, BIM, construction or building services. * Basic understanding of technical drawings and the ability to interpret information accurately. * Basic computer literacy and confidence using Microsoft Office applications. * Good attention to detail. * Ability to work effectively as part of a team. * Good organisational and time-management skills. Salary Expectation £27,000–£32,000 per annum, depending on experience
