Streamline Recruitment is working in partnership with a fantastic long-term client who is looking to grow their team. They are seeking an experienced HGV Workshop Technician / Fleet Maintenance Engineer to join their busy operation. You will be responsible for the maintenance and inspection of a fleet of HGV trailers and vehicles, ensuring all work meets legal standards and vehicles remain safe and reliable for daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and service HGV vehicles to required safety standards
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently
- Source and order replacement parts as needed
- Respond to vehicle breakdowns and carry out repairs promptly
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
- Conduct routine servicing, including brakes, gearbox and clutch
- Ensure all work meets high-quality standards and complies with safety regulations
- Keep the workshop, tools and equipment clean, organized and in good condition
- Follow health and safety procedures and wear appropriate protective equipment
Essential Experience
- Heavy vehicle maintenance, repair and diagnostics
- Previous experience in a busy HGV workshop environment
Hours
Rotating shift pattern covering Monday - Sunday (42 hours/week)
- Early: 6am - 3pm
- Days: 7am - 4pm
- Lates: 9pm - 6pm
Salary & Benefits
- £51,040 per annum plus overtime
- Overtime Monday - Saturday at time & a half
- Overtime Sunday at double time
- 25 days holiday per annum
