Streamline Recruitment are working in partnership with a fantastic long-term client who is looking to grow their team. They are seeking an experienced HGV Workshop Technician / Fleet Maintenance Engineer to join their busy operation. You will be responsible for the maintenance and inspection of a fleet of HGV trailers and vehicles, ensuring all work meets legal standards and vehicles remain safe and reliable for daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and service HGV vehicles to required safety standards
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently
  • Source and order replacement parts as needed
  • Respond to vehicle breakdowns and carry out repairs promptly
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
  • Conduct routine servicing, including brakes, gearbox, and clutch
  • Ensure all work meets high-quality standards and complies with safety regulations
  • Keep the workshop, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and in good condition
  • Follow health and safety procedures and wear appropriate protective equipment

Essential Experience:

  • Heavy vehicle maintenance, repair, and diagnostics
  • Previous experience in a busy HGV workshop environment

Hours: Rotating shift pattern covering Monday – Sunday (42 hours/week)

  • Early: 6am – 3pm
  • Days: 7am – 4pm
  • Lates: 9pm – 6pm

Salary & Benefits: £51,040 per annum
