Overview
An established MEP contractor based in Essex is seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager to oversee electrical packages on projects across London. The business delivers works across NHS, Commercial, and Heritage buildings, offering long-term opportunities for reliable and technically strong site managers.
You will be responsible for managing electrical installations on site, coordinating labour and subcontractors, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day electrical site operations across live projects
- Supervise electrical operatives and subcontractors
- Oversee and coordinate busbar installations
- Manage LED lighting upgrade projects
- Take responsibility for works within switchgear rooms
- Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and programme requirements
- Maintain high standards of health & safety, particularly within NHS and live environments
- Liaise closely with Project Managers, clients, and other trades
- Conduct quality checks, snagging, and assist with testing and handover
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Site Manager within the MEP/building services sector
- Strong experience with:
- Busbar systems
- LED lighting upgrades
- Switchgear rooms
- Experience working on NHS, commercial, or heritage projects preferred
- SMSTS or SSSTS
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage works in live and sensitive environments
