Purpose:
Manage and lead the design process of electrical installations for construction projects, ensuring compliance with UK regulations, client requirements, and industry standards.
Based in London office 4 days and 1 day Hybrid
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage electrical design through project stages from stage 3/4 to stage 5 on predominantly commercial projects
- Coordinate with clients, architects, and subcontractors to develop detailed design.
- Ensure all designs comply with UK electrical standards (BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations)
- Prepare and review electrical design documentation, including technical submittals, schematics and working drawings
- Liaise with site project management teams to align design and installation plans.
- Support tendering processes by preparing technical designs
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in electrical design within the UK construction sector.
- Strong knowledge of UK electrical standards and building regulations.
- Working on multiple projects
- Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit MEP) and lighting and cable calculations.
