Class 2 HGV / LGV Drivers – Vacuum Tanker Work
Streamline Recruitment are proud to partner with a leading environmental waste management company. Our client operates a fleet of modern LGV Class 1 & Class 2 vehicles, including vacuum tankers equipped with the latest technology. Recognised as an industry leader, they hold certifications including ISO9001, 14001 & 45001, as well as FORS Silver, Alcumus SafeContractor, CHAS & Constructionline.
This is an exciting opportunity for Class 2 drivers to join a growing, forward-thinking company with real prospects for development, specialising in vacuum tanker operations and overpumping.
The Role:
- Driving Class 2 vacuum tankers to deliver non-potable water & collect sewerage across the region
- Operating modern Euro 6 vehicles using GB Domestic hours logbooks
- Using tablets to log vehicle checks, receive work tickets, record defects & report issues
- Initial duties will focus on sludge jobs & overpumping (full training provided)
- Guaranteed 10-hour shifts (with opportunity for extra hours, nights & weekends)
- Training towards specialist qualifications such as jetting, confined spaces, traffic management
- Potential progression into a permanent role with long-term stability
What We’re Offering:
- £19.00 per hour (Ltd or Umbrella, IR35 exempt)
- Guaranteed 10 hours pay per shift

Essential Requirements:
- Full LGV Class 2 (Category C) licence with at least 6 months’ driving experience
- In-date CPC Card & Digital Tachograph Card
- Maximum 6 penalty points on licence
- Good knowledge of Drivers’ Hours (Domestic & EU) & Working Time Directive regulations
- Confident using technology (tablet-based reporting & scheduling)
- Physically fit (lifting hoses, pipes & tanker equipment required)
- Professional, polite & able to communicate effectively with clients & the public
- Flexible approach – vacuum tanker work may vary throughout the day
Ideally You Will:
- Have previous vacuum tanker driving experience (wastewater industry preferred)
- Be willing to work additional hours when required (all paid at enhanced rates)
