Streamline Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Assistant Senior Driver to join a well-established business in Barking supplying premium products to some of the UK's leading restaurants, hotels, bars, and hospitality venues. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional multi-drop driver looking to take the next step in their career. Alongside carrying out deliveries across London, you'll play a key role in supporting the wider transport operation, assisting with driver performance, operational communication, and maintaining high service standards. Working within a supportive and established team, you'll be trusted to represent the business professionally while helping ensure deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and on time.
The Role
- Completing multi-drop deliveries throughout Greater London
- Delivering premium products to high-end hospitality venues
- Providing exceptional customer service at every delivery point
- Loading, unloading, and handling products with manual lifting involved (average 15kg)
- Completing all delivery paperwork and vehicle checks accurately
- Supporting driver performance management and team development
- Liaising with operational management to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety compliance
What We're Looking For
- Previous multi-drop delivery experience
- Strong knowledge of London roads and traffic networks
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to resolve issues effectively and work under pressure
- Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties
- Previous driver management or supervisory experience would be advantageous
25 days holiday plus selected bank holidays. Salary: £29,500 + bonus of up to £4,000 per annum. Monday – Friday 40 hrs per week. (Start times vary between 05:00-07:00). If you would be interested in discussing this temp to perm position, please apply today.
