CNC Turner / Programmer / Setter / Operator Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum Location: On-site Hours: Full-time Mon - Friday (8am-5pm) A specialist engineering business is looking for an experienced CNC Turner / Programmer / Setter / Operator to join its highly skilled workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Turner who enjoys varied, technically challenging work and takes pride in producing high-quality precision components. The Role You will be responsible for the complete machining process, from programming and setting through to operation and inspection. Working with a 3-axis CNC lathe with live tooling, you will produce one-off and small-batch components to demanding specifications and tolerances.Key Responsibilities Program, set and operate 3-axis CNC lathes with live tooling. Programme both online and offline using FANUC controls. Interpret detailed engineering drawings and specifications. Select tooling, work holding, speeds and feeds. Set tools, offsets and work coordinates. Produce components to tight tolerances and high-quality finishes. Inspect finished components using precision measuring equipment. Make programme and tooling adjustments where required. Work with a range of engineering materials including steel, stainless steel and aluminium. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and machine/tooling care. Work closely with engineers and workshop colleagues to resolve manufacturing challenges.About You The successful candidate will have proven experience as a CNC Turner, Programmer, Setter and Operator, with a strong understanding of CNC turning and precision machining.Essential Proven CNC turning experience. Experience with 3-axis lathes incorporating live tooling. Strong online and offline FANUC programming experience. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Experience working to tight engineering tolerances. Strong knowledge of tooling, cutting speeds and feeds. Competent with precision measuring equipment. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.Desirable SolidWorks experience. CAMWorks or Fusion experience. Background in automotive, motorsport, aerospace or specialist engineering. Experience in low-volume, high-value manufacturing.
