Our client designs and manufactures high quality, energy efficient lighting products. Operating since 1991, our client offers a range of internal and external luminaires, while also offering bespoke products to align any requirements.
On behalf of our client, we are looking to recruit an Internal Sales Executive to join their friendly team. This position is a front-line role to inbound customer enquiries, including technical project requests, providing essential customer service excellence.
Package:
- Salary £30,000 - £33,000 (DOE)
- 20 days holiday + bank holidays + 3 days Christmas shut down
- 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday
- Company pension
- On-site parking
Responsibilities:
- Handle customer enquiries, understand their needs, and identify sales opportunities
- Answer questions, resolve issues, and provide information via calls and emails
- Explain product features and assist in building quotes with technical support
- Follow up on old project quotes
- Process orders on Sage and keep customers updated
- Track and respond to all enquiries promptly
- Update ACT CRM, including old quotes and order statuses
- Create and manage BOMs and part numbers
- Prepare product and project-based quotes, including system design
- Work with Technical team to provide solution designs
- Liaise with suppliers on pricing and technical requirements
- Work closely with Purchasing, Credit Control, Production, Design, Technical, and Dispatch teams
- Answer phone calls if Internal Sales team is busy
- Represent Internal Sales in departmental meetings
- Attend client sites occasionally
- Support website updates and produce reports from Sage
- Raise proformas and input orders
- Undertake other reasonable duties as requested
Requirements:
- 4 years' experience in an internal sales / customer focused role within a technical, manufacturing environment
- Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills
- Patience, time management skills, and ability to prioritise tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent numeracy skills for accurate and speedy calculation of sales quotes
