Role Overview

We are currently recruiting for a skilled and experienced Wood Machinist to join a busy machine shop team within a high-quality manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in precision craftsmanship, understands material selection, and is passionate about producing components of the highest structural and aesthetic quality. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting production output, maintaining quality standards, and helping develop less experienced team members within the workshop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality, accurate machined components to specification

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a wood machining, furniture making, or joinery workshop environment
  • Strong understanding of materials and machining techniques
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and support others
  • Experience mentoring or training apprentices (or willingness to do so)
  • Strong awareness of health & safety practices
  • Proactive attitude with a focus on quality and continuous improvement
