The company is seeking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join its specialist team, working across a diverse range of projects within the metal roofing and cladding industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the company's continued commitment to quality, excellence and outstanding craftsmanship. The position offers a balanced mix of site and office-based responsibilities, providing variety and opportunities to work closely with both project teams and clients.
Position Duties
- Work closely with the surveying team to prepare and manage applications for payment, variations and other commercial documentation.
- Produce accurate cost reports, reconciliations and financial forecasts on a regular basis.
- Monitor monthly application figures and ensure relevant departments are kept informed of budgets, financial constraints and potential cost implications.
- Prepare and issue Early Warning Notices, Extension of Time Requests and other contractual notices in line with project requirements.
- Review labour schedules and monitor costs against progress achieved on site.
- Maintain accurate and chronological records of site progress, ensuring information is readily available to support monthly payment applications.
- Price variations, changes and additional works in accordance with subcontract terms and agreed parameters.
- Review drawings and compare construction information against tender drawings, identifying and recording any changes or discrepancies.
- Develop and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with clients.
